I swapped out the rear sway bar to the iPD upgraded bar a week ago. One of the sway bar mounts on the old bar were completely broken. I already notice a difference in they way the car corners. I also replaced the fuel filter at the same time.

Over the last few weeks, I've been trying to figure out a wobble under load at 25-35 mph. I thought it could be the driveshaft but it is good and rebuilt. The front wheel bearings seemed good as well. The front axles are also rebuilt. On Friday, I put the car on jack stands and spent some time looking over everything. I traced the problem to the inner CV joint on the rebuilt front passenger side axle. I swapped in the original axle from the silver car to get the car on the road for now. I will have the other axle repaired when it's in the budget. The axle I'm using now has a torn outer boot.

I replaced the upper radiator hose on Friday. There was a slight seeping at the radiator that I didn't want to get worse. I'm glad I did it because there was cracking in the hose under the clamp. I'm also glad I replaced the lower hose when I did the motor swap because that one is much harder to do now. I'm thinking that I should go ahead and replace the hose from the underside of the coolant reservoir because it worries me. It doesn't leak but it is a little soft and bloated.

I picked up a black dash to swap into the car. The dash was the one thing I was missing complete the conversion to the black R interior. I still need to find a black dash top and center channel. I plan to replace the defrost selection motor when the dash is out. The heater is stuck on defrost right now.

I also picked up a drawtie hitch.

I decided to tackle a big job this past weekend. The full interior color change. I didn't complete everything but I did get most of it done. The dash, carpet, front seats, the trim from the rear seats forward, rear seat bottoms, and the center console. I still need to do some of the rear trim, the rear seat backs, three door panels and the rear carpet. The door panels need to be re-glued before the install. I took my time on this because I wanted to do it right one time. I cleaned everything before the install. I also repaired the heating system so I'm not stuck on defrost. It turns out that my problem was a Lego piece inside the heat duct jamming one of the flaps but I went ahead and replaced the actuator to be sure.

I just made a big purchase for the car totaling $460. I'm going to try and get most of the maintenance done on the car in the coming weeks. I did economy shipping so it's going to take a week and a half to get here.

Friday's plans are to finish the interior swap. I also need to get stuff together to post for sale.

I started on my parts install project.

I didn't get as far as I hoped. One of the end links had to be cut off and took way longer to do than it should have. I also had to make a run to get a torx socket set to remove the hub bolts.
The driver's side hub was making noise but I was surprised that it didn't have any play.

I was able to get the driver's side hub swapped and both end links. That was all though.

I also got my rip kit and it came in blue. I really don't care either way, I just need to make sure anything else I get is also blue.

So my really small coolant leak turned into leaving a puddle under the radiator. I parked the car for the week and will be driving my Mazda until I can get around to finishing up the repairs.

The list of retairs:
-replace the radiator
-turbo drain line seals
-tranny to angle gear seals
-passenger side front wheel bearing
-fuel pump tank seal
-spark plugs

"Fun" stuff:
-Snabb RIP kit
-Snabb fresh-air pipe
-silicon vacuum lines
-SAS delete
-tuning

I have a laptop setup for tuning and I have everything I need to add the switch to the old AWD ECU.
I will get pictures posted of everything soon. I need to get a wideband and a 3" downpipe to complete my plans for the car.

I replaced the radiator in the car. Not a fun project, it required removing the entire front of the car.

Just before I actually removed the radiator and intercooler:

The old radiator was packed with what looks like hair. This was between the intercooler and the radiator. So not only was it leaking but it was clogged.

The car was back together last night.

What was actually done:
-radiator replacement
-cleaned the intercooler
-ported my extra intake to recieve the NA big bore throttle body with 960 plate
-installed Snabb RIP kit
-installed Snabb fresh air pipe
-replaced the spark plugs
-removed the SAS system
-replaced the driver's side fender

It's the horn for the factory alarm.

Already is, lol. I have too many cars that are worth too much restored to mess with. This is the only car I have that modifying will not hurt the value. I just need to make sure that I don't ruin drive-ability.

Haha. Well you're taking it pretty easy, and I think you're on the right path. I doubt you'll hurt driveability.
