:koolaidman: I often say that myself, but it's sure nice to hear someone else say it :6f1d77c8:

Thanks!

I have been working on it for about four years. It is beginning to pay some dividends, but if you want to see really good you should come to an event and watch the red rx-7 in the synchronized picture and a 1968 bwm 2002

Autocross is like some other "sports" even if you do it wrong, it's still fun.

I wanna go. Espeacially after sundays mountain run with Angelo. I wonder what gear I'd be in most. If I have to go between 3rd and second a lot I don't think I'd be able to since second grinds when downshifting and sometimes on the upshift. :(

You can talk to some of the other rx-8 guys there, but my guess is 2nd gear for most if not all of the course. Unless there is an exceptionally tight turn around somewhere. Usually we don't have those at World Arena.

How fast is redline in 2nd? I usually don't have to go to third and my second gear tops out at 60 mph.

Saturdays average speed was 36.31 mph, max speed was 58.05 and the minimum speed after the start was 23.17 mph.

So for Saturday, if you could pull from 23 mph and get up to 58 mph in second you would have been good to go.

For Sunday it was average speed was 36.01 mph, max speed was 54.65 and the minimum speed after the start was 20.65 mph.

Data acquisition is a wonderful thing.

Hmm. Second tops out at 60-63. I think I should be fine then as long as I shift from 1st to second before I hit 35MPH I should be fine going into second.

If you need help getting registered let me know. It's kind of funky on the initial setup, but after you get your id established and the car registered, signing up for each individual event is a piece of cake.
