Just got back from the event. Was soo much fun. I had lots of help while there and got some great pointers. Got to a couple rides. Mark Mauro who has a Stormy Blue RX-8 w/ race rubber took me around the course and man was he killing it. Hold on for dear life.

The 8 did well for having tires wit some tread left. Coolant temps didn't even reach over 200. Car ran great and I was in second the entire time. I had a great time. If you want to AutoX and you have't yet DO IT! I'm gonna miss it when I wont have the time to go.

I wish I had a camera mount so I could show you all my spin-out I had during my fun run which I felt was gonna be my best run until the 2nd to last turn.

Heh. I know the guys that drive the yellow S2K CR edition. Great folks. I hear lots of good things about the rm solo group here in CO. Glad ya had fun.. I wish I had a beater car to take back to AutoX'ing with.

The one event I'll go to, hopefully CMZC will go to.. I can get some relatively good shots for you guys :)

I took some pictures, but no video. I forgot to charge my camera and it died really quick at the event. I didn't stay long, but here are some pictures.

Glad you had a good time GR-8 and thanks for helping pack up!
Still waiting for results to post
Nice pics Alex! Let's see, I've driven the Vette, the Trueno (Initial D, yo!) and (current ride) the Scirocco.
Next time you're out, stop by and get some rides. The Scirocco is quite an experience, wish I could have given more CMZC'ers rides.

They have a nice car- since you specified "CR", I know the one.
It's funny, simply saying "yellow S2K" would only narrow it down to 3-4 cars.

You don't need a beater to come have fun autocrossing. As long as your DD isn't high profile (SUV, van, etc) and can pass a basic safety inspection (no leaks, loose battery, missing lugs/studs, etc), bring it out. Autocross typically isn't any harder on a vehicle than a good hard canyon flog.

I didn't think anyone else but Robert and Patrick were driving an S2000 CR... interesting turn of events there.

I'm glad you guys had fun though!

The Ramseys have the yellow CR, they mostly run at PPIR.
Off the top of my head I can think of two other yellow S2Ks that come out regularly- Bob K and Dan H. Neal S has one too, can't recall the color, but it might be yellow ;) again all predominantly southern CO drivers.

I'm not completly sure I laid into the throttle enough to max out my boost. The straights were short. I didn't check the bc to see what my max was but I'm sure if I did have time to hit 12.5psi I did. I had trouble keeping traction when I would get on it on the short straights. I think I gave too much throttle when I spun out. I was more focused on the course than trying to monitor things. I couldn't even tell you what speed I was going through the course.

That first pic of the subbie STI was the one I beat at the last (and second) autox event I went to. The driver is an older lady who is incredibly nice!

Good work tho Jimmy, glad you had fun.

Wish we had an adrenaline gauge, I probably peg that one regularly ;)
