So the car/class isn't important? Amanda (daughter) is kind of sheepish about racing. She loves to drive (out on dirt roads) and does very well with the manual tranny (her starts still need work). But I see her running about half speed for a while until she gets comfortable.

Not sure. My last fun run (in the rain) I drove less agressive, the tail didn't hang, and I ran about half second quicker. I'll have the tools to pull it if needed, but I think I should learn to drive, before condeming the set up. What I should do is get someone else to drive it and get their ideas.

It's a lot easier to start out in something where you aren't competing against men...well it is for me. It's intimidating with men but a lot of the women are incredibly helpful. Some you should stay away from (I can explain this to you privately if you choose) but the rest (Melanie Pora, Allison Melchoir, and Mrs. Yost who drives with Jamie etc) are amazing women and can teach her a lot. If your daughter does want to hang out in Womens I am more than happy to help her out.

Good point. Are you running an upgraded front sway bar?

Yes, the first mod was the Flying Miata stage 2 suspension package. Springs/shocks and both bars. I set the front on the stiffer of the two settings (so was the rear, but I went to full soft on the rear at the race).

I bet your fine leaving the sways the way you have them set. stiff as posible in the front and soft in the rear. The only other thing I could think could be your problem is maybe some of the rear bushings are binding.

The next race that the two of you attend, I will have to introduce you. It would be great if she had a young lady encourage her to try this out. You met my younger daughter in January (she was the one who wasn't about to give up her seat so you could ride).
