RMSolo Summer Events 2 & 3 on 5/7/11 @ Front Range Airport, Watkins, CO

Postby roninsoldier83 » Wed May 04, 2011 9:14

So, I was just wondering if anyone else is planning on attending this double header event this Saturday? If so, what time do most of you guys plan on showing up?

Also, I don't suppose anyone happens to have a set of magnetic numbers/labels I can borrow temporarily? Haha!

Either way, it's been WAY too long, and I'm sure with the new car I'll be bashing more than a few cones haha! Looking forward to seeing many of you guys and having a fun day pitching the new-to-me car around!

I'll be there around 7:00am. You should be able to find someone with painter's tape to do numbers for your car.

Amanda and I will be running our Miata. I have only an extra pair of "3", we have 1,4,5 and STR in use. I'll bring the threes if you want/can use them.

Yeah, painter's tape was going to be the backup idea haha!

Thanks for the offer, but I pre-registered as 90/190, just forgot to pickup a set of magnetic numbers/decals haha.

I will be there around 7:45am and am really excited. I have never done anything like this (legally at least) and look forward to seeing what my Miata will do.

Is there a place online or somewhere I can buy some magnetic numbers for the future? For now I will stick with the painters tape.

Just search autocross numbers and you'll find plenty of places on line for magnetic numbers :)

There are others. You get to pick 4 numbers and your "class" they ship fast and are reasonable in price. I suggest you don't double up your numbers "22", pick 23 and you have that and 32 if you change classes and your number is already in use there. Make sure you include a "1" for co-drivers.

Many people have gone to Home Depot or Lowes and bought magnetic vent covers and cut out their own numbers and used those.

I did painters tape for the first few events and bought a number set later. The important thing is get your but out there to race! We'll figure out how to get you numbered.

I'm going to try and be out there around ~6:30-ish.

I renewed my SCCA membership last week, and have been waiting on my membership card (lost my old one), but I'm assuming a printout of my confirmation should suffice?

I would go, but already have a scheduled appointment for someone to bang some dents out of my MZ3 that afternoon. I definitely intend to make it out to the next Front Range airport one!
