Huzer, I'd drive it. It is STR competitive as it sits, with a better driver than me that is.
IIRC (i could be wrong) it doesn't have an LSD and would compete in STS. It would have a better chance there, than I ever would in STR.

I'd probably have to get low profile sliders to make the driver's seat easier to adjust. It can be unbolted and repositioned, but that's kind of a pain. I plan on adding a matching FX1 Pro for the passenger side.
It's perfectly reliable to be driven to/from events (in my mind). I don't currently have adjustable coilovers and don't plan on getting them anytime soon. I do have FM sways and adjustable endlinks. I think overall it's got good parts on it. I plan on adding the FM Happy Meal clutch kit to the car over the winter.

Correct, it does not have an LSD. If I swapped to an LSD, would that change the classing?

Yes. I need to dbl check that as I 'think' the 1.6L would still keep you in STS. Currently my basic knowledge is Miata + LSD = STR

Yesterday, we determined my car would be SSM, which I guess is some hooptie dooptie category.
