Big Congrats to Nick Leone
Nick placed 1st in his class at SCCA this weekend and 26th out of over 100. He was nice enough to let me ride with him so big thanks for that. Good job and way to make us proud!

Actually, he was 27th out of 98 overall in the Index. The Index is a way to try to equalize everyone into the same class. Each class is given a mulitplier which is applied to their best time. The slower classes get a smaller mulitplier, which effectively brings their overall time down lower. The faster classes get larger multiplier because they don't need much help to adjust their times. If you look at the person who placed last in Index, their multiplier is almost 1. But I can guarantee you that she was not making good runs, because an F125 skifter kart FLIES through an autox course when done properly.

But still, in H Stock, Nick beat 2nd place by .4 seconds. Not too shabby. I've seen class battles go down to .001 before. And he was a solid 4 seconds ahead of 3rd place. Good job!
