From John Bandimere Jr.

Crews Start Work on Race Surface Renovation

Bandimere Speedway staff has begun the off season project of resurfacing the track. The project includes converting the whole 1320 foot surface to concrete and also laying new launch pads and burnout boxes. The shutdown area will also be revamped in the project, with new asphalt. The 2008 season is also the 50th Anniversary of Bandimere Speedway, and there are many special happenings in the works for the upcoming season. Check back for the 2008 Schedule in December

it will stay cooler which will be better times on the track , less maintance..and with that probably cost less

I can get you into a meet for spectating, just not racing.

Very cool. I all i know about concrete street surfaces is from living in Highlands Ranch; its all concrete and it all sucks for the most part... but im sure the track will be very well maintained and wont suck but will kick ass!

hopefully it won't suck.. I do see it sucking when it starts to rain, they are not going to let anyone run probably it will be so slick, specially for racers running ON slicks. John is a very smart man, so I guess we will wait and see how it is going to be next year.

See if you can't get the club a pre-season opener run on the new track. Say a week before any events are schedueld.

I'd be in. If we got 20 members who'd want to do this it'd only be 20 bucks a peice. Thats a lot cheaper than what's carged to run on wednesdays. Even if there are 10 of us who want to go it'd be 20 a peice. That is if CeXy7 can get her connections.

$200 PER CAR!!! [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/50cad9e0.gif[/img] If that's the price I'm out. I could spend that on something for the car.
