I'm going to sign up for HPDE 1 in a day or so. Anyone else want to join in?

I would love to do that but I'm going to be out of town that weekend. Well, out of town for me, in Denver, heh. But will be spending the weekend with the wife and I think she'd be pissed if I ditched her to go racing.

I might be down...I'm worried about fitting in the FD with my helmet on

Hit a Deep pothole tonight... stopped to see if any wheels where bent. (they weren't) Got in and the freaking thing didn't want to go into gear without grinding and a big jump. Seems odd but that big shock may have done damage. Could it have?

Potentially, but I think it would have to have been a hell of a whack. Were you on the throttle hard? Could be your brain messing with you. As for racing, I'd kill to but there is no way my surgeon would clear me for it.

That sucks, Jimmy. The PPF doesn't brace the stock transmission well at all in the RX-8 so a big bump could put some huge torsional loads on it. If your were putting any significant amount of torque through the gearbox at the time it could have done damage...

I was just cruising down the road about 35 MPH behind some other cars. I know the street REALY well so I got prepared for a pot hole and a manhole that I know are there. This was a new "hidden" one. You really can't tell it's there till you hit it. I went around the block twice to before I spotted it.

It was a huge hit. Everything shook. The shifter even got pushed upwards. When I was ready to leave the whole thing went psycho. Oh well not like McDonald Mazda Fixed it when I had problems before. When it goes completely I will just fork over the money for one.

BOT though. I may come to watch if anybody else is gonna go and watch.

I'll be out at PPIR that weekend Double regional race and autocross. But if anyone wants to come out and watch that, I'll be racing!

Cool to see some CMZC folks are going. HPDE is a blast, but even if you can't drive I encourage everyone to at least come watch, NASA is a great group! Or help out by working flags on corners, you get paid

Did anyone sign up for this? I noticed on the Entry list there is an '05 RX-8 that will be out there both Sat and Sun; #57. Anyone? A few miata's and 7's also.

No I didn't sign up...too much going on in my life right now...won't even be going to PPIR that weekend either...
