The AutoX event was on Friday and featured 150 cars in the event. Because I was with one of the sponsors, I was able to run my car in the event and ended up with a total of 10 runs. 8 I drove and 2 the owner of the shop drove. The vender runs did not count in the event but was still time and logged. I ended up putting up the 3rd fasted time (45.3 sec) on the course loosing to a 2011 top of the line Roush with slicks on (44.2 Sec) and the Miller Motorsports racing Mustang (42.7 Sec). That was going against a bunch of newer GT500, other Roush's, 1000 HP Fox Bodies and many other highly modified, high horse power & high dollar Mustangs. I did have a lot more runs than everyone else to get the track down, most were running street tires and some didn't really push it with how expensive some of the cars were, but am still proud. I actually had what felt like a faster run but the car in front of me spun out and pull right in front of me. The track was also well suited for my car and is built for this type of driving but man was it fun.
I was a little unsure of how my car would be taken since I was really the only none Mustang in the crowed but was amazed at the attention it received. So many people were amazed at how well it did at the AutoX and the car in general. I had a bunch of people come up to me the next day and tell me how fun it was to watch my car and easily got the most attention at the Mustang Motor Sports booth.
Here is a video I put together of my runs and some pictures from the show. Enjoy!!!
BTW- I know I misspelled "mountian".
