tsxguy:: Yep pretty much. Except they want us between 490 seconds - 595 this month. Most of my calls are between 590-700 seconds this month due to stupid shit.. and i'm on a final/written warning, if my stats THIS month arent up, I am fired. It's pretty ridiculous to me.

Do you want us all to call you and get the phone call length absurdly short?

It sucks but handle time is extremely important to any company. At my last company, a 5-10 second increase in average handle time (for everyone, not just one agent) would cost the company literally hundreds of thousands of dollars. It really does make a huge difference when agents are handling a lot less calls overall because of too much time spent on each call. That's why they have to be so strict with those metrics. If the company isn't making money, pretty soon no one will have a job.

Vendors whose web sites say they have inventory, accept my order, confirm on the phone the order will be fulfilled, and then cancel the order due to 'unavailability' or 'price error' a week later. It's a bad time to be buying enterprise hard drives. :(

^Wow, I had a very similar thing just happen, small world haha. Bought some stuff that took me forever to find because no one had it anymore, the company I bought it from claimed they had it on the website, I hadn't heard anything for the last week or two since I bought it, and got an email back from them saying it's not available anymore. ARGH!

when you click 'unsubscribe' from a spam email and they make you type in your email address, then they send you another email to confirm you are unsubscribed, fing PITA! I want one-click unsubscribe!
---------------------
even worse, i get stupid newsletters from Current.tv, the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email takes you to an error page, i've been trying to unsubscribe from them for years, and have emailed every address i can find, and replied to the mail with no luck...
---------------------
Anytime i'm signing up for something and they make me confirm the email address twice, grinds me, grinds me good
---------------------
I have a BS email address i use just for signing up for stuff, and an alternate 'clean' email address i never give out, this helps...but i still try to unsubscribe from crap...

Waiting for FedEx...

I have a package coming (duh) and it was originally scheduled for delivery on Tuesday this week. So Tuesday morning I leave a note on the door asking the delivery driver to please leave the package as I normally do. When I get home from work there is a door tag and it reads "sorry can't leave I need a signature". OK, they have rules, I get it.

So on Wednesday I leave a note saying I will be home today (Thursday). He door tags me again saying it's the 2nd attempt. Now, both of these times the driver attempted to deliver the package it was before 9:30 AM. So I made sure today, Thursday, I got up early incase he was going be to early dropping off the package.

Sure enough it's nearly 3:30 PM and no package. So I called FedEx an hour ago to make sure it's still coming and if they could relay a message to the driver that I'm home. The customer service guy says it was going to be held and not delivered until Saturday (which I work and would be unavailable and the package would go back to the sender and I would have to re-pay for shipping). The customer service guy says the package will be delivered today, but it still isn't here!!!

The aggravation is obviously I can't leave the house or I'll miss the package, I can't go work in the garage or I won't hear him come to the door, I can't take a nap, hell I can't even drop a deuce out of fear he will come when I'm doing it! It's like living in fear! So I basically just have to sit in the living room surfing the web and watching TV until he comes...

FedEx, just show up already!!!!

Just leave a note on the front door that says, "Dropping a duece, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE!"

You'll be all good.

That kills me as well. They keep trying during the same time of day that you weren't there before. REALLY?! I don't understand why these companies don't put at least some drivers on a night shift or an offset shift so they can catch you after work, since most people work during the day. If you're not there during the day on Monday, why the hell would you be there that same time of day on Tuesday?? "2nd attempt. One more and you're toast! You're gonna have to pay to have it shipped back again, and we're going to do the same exact thing BWAHAHAHA". Idiotic.

I have no clue what's going on with FedEx. I've called twice and I'm getting different stories every time (big surprise). The latest person I spoke with said FedEx will do residential deliveries up until 8PM, but then she said "well, if it doesn't show up today you can have it held at a FedEx location". I want my package now!!! And what do they mean "if it doesn't show up"? It says it's on the truck for delivery!

It says it's "out for delivery" but now it says the delivery date as Saturday (12/03). This is very very frustrating, as FedEx has in their possession about $1500 worth of custom car parts. Of course the parts are fragile and they are hand made custom pieces so I can't just get new ones right away, and I can't get a straight answer when they will deliver them. Of course I work on Saturday and my Wife is busy taking a class so we won't be around for that either to get the package.

Why can't they just deliver it when I have my day off???? This is STUPID
