I wouldn't recommend a laser printer. For one, toner is expensive, and for two, that one can't print in color. Color Inkjet is what you want.

Also, every printer color or otherwise should have a black and white option. It's actually usually set in Windows before it even gets sent to the printer.

Just got back from Microcenter, they had lots of nice all-in-one Canon's for $99-$200 range, and smaller than the one you listed at costco....

No no. Toner refills are cheap. I have laser printer at home for years. Very cheap to operate. Inkjet will dry up and the ink cartridges are more expensive than the printer. My inkjet printers are just big paper weight that takes up a lot of space.
Check out ebay for toner refills. MF4450 (model number) + toner refill.

A quick search on Ebay shows 2 refills for $16.88. With up to 2,500 pages prints per refill. Sounds pretty cheap to me. Do the math. There's NO WAY inkjet can beat that with cost per page print.
