My second car was a Sunfire. Same engine and trany. To answer your question, it took about a weekend to get to 60.

sounds like a fast car?

I friend of mine's dad drives a VW rabbit desel pickup and my friend drove if from Grand Junction to denver. it took 11 hrs.

OMG. Did they have to peel it off the side of a mountain, rebuild it and then continue?

15mph over the passes. they were getting passed by semi's going up the passes. They drove the entire trip both ways on 10 gal of gas.

That's hilarious. It actually got up and went pretty well, but once I got close to 50 or so, it started whining like a little bitch. Eventually the speedo needle just gave up and stopped working altogether. I miss the little devil - it was the best car in the snow that I've owned.
