Dining with tut (i)edition:

Adelitas Conina y Cantina
http://www.adelitasdenver.com/
(Broadway & Louisiana)
Atmosphere is nice and open, place is small but wasn't packed at all...

We ordered the Pollo Asado ($14), Guacamole w Chips ($6), Ceviche $(7), Chicken Taco's ($9), & 4 Marguaritas ($4 each).

The guac was kinda slimy and wasn't all that, the chips were kinda hard.
The Ceviche & Chicken Taco's were good,
The Pollo Asado was kinda gross, the chicken felt super greasy, the rice was nothing special, and worst of all, the corn tortillas had anise in them! I absolutely hate anise/finnel, and it will ruin anything it's in. Why would anyone put it in a tortilla?

So the best part of the meal was the Margarita's, the worst part was the bill of $50+ for bad food.

The only time i'll return is for ($1) Taco Tuesdays, but the price is NOT worth the bad food... I'll stick with Las Delicias in Glendale where their pollo asado is delicious.

Dining with tut (i)edition:

Southern Hospitality
http://shdenver.com/menu/

Ate there Friday night, I ordered the 'Mac n Chicken' dish, ($16)
It was a nice portion, but the chicken was gross. It tasted like andouille sausage, nasty. I ended up eating all the mac n cheese but not the chicken pieces.

The Great Divide 'Hibernation' beer I had was great.

My friend had a 'blackened salmon' with broc and grits, it was delicious and i ate some of that.

Service was 'meh'

total bill for 2 people was $60, not worth it in my opinion and we won't be returning.
30 min after leaving, I had to leave the bar we were at because my stomach was very upset, and a bad case of <quidz*> ensued.

Dining with tut (i)edition:

Beatrice & Woodsley
http://beatriceandwoodsley.com

Went there because it looked really cool from outside.

Atmosphere is amazing and comfortable, great place for a date or drink or whatever.
Service was great, food and drinks were expensive.
I was worried place would be snooty, but it wasn't.

The menu was too damn complicated for me and every item had too much going on.
I ended up getting Roasted Tomato Risotto which was the only thing I thought i'd like, and it was kinda gross. Had like 40 ingredients in it and i only ate half the plate.
Friend had 'Wild Boar Burger' and it was the same situation, to much going on.

To sum it up:
Atmosphere: A+
Service: A
Food: C (probably bc i'm picky and would rather have simplicity)
Price: F

I would return for a cocktail at the bar, but not for food.

nice review geo, I hope you are able find a dining establishment that it worth returning to for food. I too enjoy a good meal that doesn't have to be overly fancy (glares at ...)

Been awhile...

I was reminded why I stopped eating here: http://nicolospizza.com/

I'll qualify that by saying- the Centennial location has always served me good quality pie. Moving along...

The HR location has blown every time- they received their 3rd strike and I shall no longer be dining there.

Specs:
- dry, tasteless, and cardboard-y crust- check.
- "whole milk cheese" has been consistently nasty. A dried layer of plastic-like material atop the bland cardboard-like crust- check.
- Toppings are okay-ee...pepperoni seems decent enough- but aside from that (and the aforementioned items) it's just plain gross.

The reason the pepperoni tastes okay is because that is one of the items that most if not all places buy pre-sliced in a bag. (I made pizzas, and delivered back in college)

Sushi Den

This place was just splendid. I'll admit I don't know much about sushi, have had minimal dining experiences, and am still learning. But from what I have to compare this place to (Hapa) I feel there is better selection, higher quality, and all around a better vibe.

Next time I find $100-200, I'll be going back.
