Damnit, I hate the mod bug

So here I am, tooling around in the big ol' white grocery getter Volvo wagon, and still, I debate what mods to do to the car. I could make it a mild sleeper. All sorts of options. Yet it's dumb. I shouldn't want to mod my the XC, but I do. Apparently, I need therapy.

Granted, the "Volvo parts cost a crapload of money" side of things tends to keep me in check.

Just send me any money you plan to use on the volvo and you will not be able to mod the car.

Sell the Volvo.
Buy an Rx8.

Do you have the T6? What all is there available for it?

Nah, no T5 (the V70s are an I-5, thus the T5...T6 is for the 6 cylinder). But there are plenty of options. Reflashes, downpipes, etc, etc. Typical turbo stuff avail.

In all honesty, I probably won't through too much into this car. Mostly suspension/maintenance type things to tighten things up. That doesn't stop me from checking out the FS ads on various forums, though.

Sorry, I didn't know what year yours was and the '09s and '10s are 6 cylinders. If it's not turbo, I'd stick with suspension like you're saying, since you don't get the same bang for the buck with engine mods on an N/A car at this altitude.

Too soon?

Didn't know that it had an I-5. That's pretty cool.

Buy a cheap used car to mod, like an older DSM or an FC.

I know the feeling. I've been driving the Grand Cherokee since the Pikes Peak Fail-trip, and I'm starting to think, "OK, some bigger, A/T tires, a safari rack, some added fogs, maybe a one-inch lift...wait..."

Then I punch myself and drive on.

My point exactly. The Volvo is supposed to be point A to point B transportation. One of the reasons I chose the car was it fell into the "unlikely to mod" category.

Evolve/Elevate has a spotty reputation. There are a few decent vendors out there though.

Oh, mine's a turbo. There are no non-turbo XCs, they are all LPT, though.
