Droid Cam Dump - Sep 10

Postby Stealth01 » Mon Oct 11, 2010 9:14

Have done a phone pic dump in a LONG time, so I figured I'd better get one done.

Obviously, these two have never watched Ghostbusters…."cats and dogs sleeping together!"

Image

This is at the Peterson AFB auto hobby center. A buddy's Land Cruiser, on which we were installing new lift shackles.

Image

We had to install new lift shackles because the ones they sent him originally were wrong, and the replacements initially looked like this picture. They sent him three of the large ones and one of the small ones. The small one was what he needed. LOL.

Image

Finally! Some of you might remember an incident about two years ago…maybe 2.5…where my oldest daughter decided to make a little trip in her POS Beretta. Before she had her license. Somehow, she managed to run BACKWARD over a utility box, then lied about it repeatedly before finally telling us the truth. Well, COMCAST finally fixed it the other day lol. Guess the new neighbors wanted their cable back. :)

Image

We took my mom and sister to Manitou in September, and while there, I saw this:

Image

And this:

Image

This is proof that a 44-year-old dude in the middle of a 5.5 mile run should NOT wear fogged sunglasses. Didn't see a piece of metal sticking out of the ground. Tripped on it, tore my knee open at the 3.8 mile mark. However, I did finish the run….what choice did I have? Call my wife for a ride home? I think not…

Image

And that little "leak" resulted in some spatter. I now call this my "hardcore" shoe:

Image

Last time I was at Red Rocks was with you guys, but this time, I was dropping off my sons and my oldest son's GF with my wife's cousin for a concert. It was a fun drive. After ward, as I was leaving, I turned the wrong way and made a little side trip into the mountains. Weeeee…but here are the kids and Laura.

Image

This is the little beastie that cost me a couple weeks without my car, and $220 to get fixed. The now infamous "fan control module."

Image

And the last from September, here's my worst tire. It's now on the left-rear of the car, but yes -- that gauge said ZERO a little under a month ago. It's probably in the negative numbers now lol.

we could swap race injury stories. I tore my knee up last march. I managed to finish the race, but it was a bit shorter than yours. Shoe blood, that's a true runner.

LOL I heard it's called the Muse-Cruiser, and that's the flame-watch. LOL

I never considered myself a hardcore runner, but last year I built up to 7 miles. This summer I built up to 10, and now I'm tapering back. Maybe I'll shoot for a half-marathon next year.

I ran 8 miles on sat, the farthest i've ever run. Kudos to doing 10 miles and considering a half. That's a lot of running. I'll stick with my 5k and call it good.

Yeah, 10 was the longest I'd ever run. Started to get some blisters after that one.

That'll do it.

I could make SO many comments about knees not healing if you don't stay off them, but I'll refrain. :p
