xbox hack?

I have a new xbox360 slim and want to install a 250gb or so hard drive. This is apparently a well-documented procedure that is simple and relatively quick to do. However, the desktop I have is not currently setup and so it looks easier to have this done if someone can do it for me correctly than getting setup to do it myself.

I can help you out with that. Just need the hard drive. You need to make sure you buy the right one. They have all the stuff from the limited edition Xbox 360s (Gears3 and MW3) that have the 320GB HD so you can go all the way to 320GB if you like.

You'll also need, well not NEED, but get a shell for the HD. Just search for 'Xbox 360 slim hd shell.' ebay has some for like $3-$10.

Just incase my last pm didn't go through since my inbox was full but HD are way up in price. Not sure when they will drop again. Blame the Thailand floods. If you can't find a 320gb or 250gb for cheap it may be worth it to just buy the 320 gb drive from Microsoft for $130.

If you do find a drive make sure its one with the right model number. Below are the end letters. The full thing will look like -WD3200BEVS (320GB ) or WD2500BEVS (250GB ) These are all Western Digital drives.

- WD Scorpio Series BEVS/BEAS
- WD Scorpio Blue Series (All drives)
- WD Scorpio Black Series BEKT/BJKT
- WD VelociRaptor Series
