Steelers/Broncos
Steelers/Broncos
C'mon Sunday, already! I just signed up for the raffle/lottery at work to win the pair of season tickets we have here. So far, a whopping 2 people have signed up. I've never been to a game out here, and have only been to 1 game period, in the mid 90's to Three Rivers to watch the Vikings (Warren Moon as QB) destroy the Steelers.

30 minute drive from my parent's house. It seems pro football team fans can be very zealous about their teams, or at least particular players on the team

I'll be there on Sunday
Same seats as always. Section 125 - east (visitor's bench) side of the stadium at about the 30 yard line toward the south end zone. 14th row
My grandpa has had season tickets since 61 or 62 I believe, or possibly since 1960. Good luck with your raffle! I think the Broncos have some sort of a shot on Sunday, but a very very very small one. With perhaps their top defensive player not playing in the game on Sunday, along with our ability to rush the ball. If they start off strong, they have a chance. They can't take the entire first half to get into rhythm while rushing, and I think it would be a nice change to see some no huddle offense, and have Tebow play 2 minute offense more because he seems to get infinitely better in those cases. Fact is, he stunk up the joint last Sunday, and it's hard to get much worse.

Here's my perspective on the whole thing:
One of the biggest problems: Offensive coordinator. McCoy does not call good plays. Ever. Tebow had a bad game against the Bills and threw 3 interceptions (last I heard the league was changing the ruling on that one questionable one from interception to lost fumble). He doesn't call plays that let Tebow be Tebow. On the way to school yesterday morning listening to the radio, someone said they should let Tebow do his thing. He's been in high pressure situations plenty when he was in college, and he excelled, and the guy suggested letting Tebow call some plays and see what happens. It would be interesting to see how that turns out.
Tebow. He hasn't been playing great. I for one think given the situation, he's done pretty well this season. He took a team that was 1-4 and looked like they wouldn't even reach 6-10 at the best, and took them to 8-8 for a first place finish in the division and a playoff berth. There's something to be said about that muh alone. 7-4 isn't bad considering he didn't get much real training at all over the off season due to the lockout hullabaloo. He obviously has to do better if he wants to be a quarterback in the NFL, and I think he will get better with more experience and training during the offseason.
Can't wait for the game on Sunday though!
@Tut: My seats are super close. High enough that you can see the whole field easily without having to sit sideways in your seat, close enough that you can still pretty much tell who is who when something happens. Anything that deserves a replay is shown, which plays a factor in coaches challenging plays.

Call me a dick, but I don't like going to games...unless the seats are super close.
Instant replay and unoccupied, non-disgusting bathrooms trump being 'there'.
Good Luck miT! (low blow?)
I wouldn't expect you to be a sports event person anyway, to honest. The argument sounds similar to those who say "why go to a concert, I already own the cd."
