Minor car trouble this morning.

So, this morning, on my way to work, I decided to get on the boost pretty hard... I went through 1st, 2nd and while in the middle of 3rd... POP and I lost power and black smoke coming out the exhaust!!! The worst case scenario went thought my head. A second later I realized what had actually happened... The intercooler hose had popped off. I managed to crawled over to a parking lot (with some shade) to take a look. It had to be the one where I have to remove the bumper to get to. I didn't have any tools with me. Luckily one of my co-worker has some tools in this truck and came over to help. It took about 45 mins to remove the bumper, put the hose back in place and tighten everything and put back the bumper.
What a great way to start the week.

Was it a faulty hose clamp?

Diesels do that all the time. Oils get between the silicone hose and aluminum pipe. The hose will slip out under the clamp. Clean the mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol before reassembly.
Had this happen on my F350 on the way back from Missouri pulling the fifth wheel. Five minutes after the bang, we were back on the road (tools onboard and easy pipe location - just a few minor burns from the underhood heat).

I think this one was my fault. I didn't want to tighten it too much when I installed it because I was afraid of stripping it. I'm not afraid this time though.

If you keep having the problem you might want to take the pipes to a shop where they can put a hump on the end of them. That would help keep them on. Or someone can weld some little bumps around the edge, it would do the same thing. I wish I knew the correct terms for all this haha.
