I will never ever eat at a sonics again!

Postby Wankel88 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 9:14

So my little girls were bugging me all week they wanted slushes from sonic. Where we lived before we never had one but received all the advertising they have. So we were somewhat familiar with it. My wife and kids had chicken and I decided to try their burger. Big mistake! My wife and kids are all fine but I deff have the worse food poisoning I could ever imagine. I'm still sick from it. Had it last night. Just a 411 for anyone .

They've been here forever in Aurora. Never gotten sick, but they are a little on the greasy side.

I won't eat the burgers at sonic, but I've never had a problem with their chicken. And I guess I won't eat their burgers anytime in the future either :p However I went there from time to time with friends in high school since it was close by and my friends never had a problem with their burgers.

I think there are a few in the springs area. All I know is no more.

Welcome to Colorado.

Was forced to go to Sonic a few months ago. I ate 1.5 chicken strips before stopping and throwing the rest away. I'm still holding out for an extra long cheesy coney dog...gross.

I've had their burgers several times before and I was OK. Maybe you just got it on a bad night. And like I said, that location is where we usually meet LOL. We were thinking about changing our meet location, I guess we could do that but it sucks now since you live right there lol.

I might still buy the drinks but I'm good with the food.

Sonic is the closest restaurant to my house and we've eaten there fairly often in the 8 years we've lived in this house. I've gotten most of the things on their menu: breakfast toaster sandwiches, breakfast burritos, extra long chili cheese coneys, burgers, chicken strips, popcorn chicken, chicken sandwiches, fries, tots, mozzarella sticks, shakes, like I said, just about everything they sell, and have never had a problem. Sorry you had a bad experience at yours, but I really like their food.

I want a breakfast burrito now, damnit.

How do people really know what exactly made them sick? Unless that's the only thing you ate in a 2 day or so period, there's no telling what made you sick.

Good question. I've heard it can take anywhere from 12hrs to a day before symptoms come up. Don't know exactly or even how true it is but I don't think its something that happens immediately.
