Had a guy come into work tonight in a beautiful Speed6 and told him about the bbq meet up. He said he hadn't checked out the local mazda club at all but he was going to try to come by the meet on the 7th.

So are we just going to ambush one of the pavilions that has a BBQ setup and do some grilling? Maybe like a BYOM thing? I haven't grilled with briquettes since I was a kid, but if somebody wants to give me the affirmative on this, it will help my planning.

On the share-and-share-alike tip, I can bring a cooler full of beer. Anybody thinking of bringing a cooler full of pop or water or....?

I think if we call Parks & Rec they can tell us if which one is not-reserved, that might be a good way to go since we could get kicked of any reserved site.

I'll bring a big jug thing of water, soda and buns?

The reservations website says none of the shelters have been reserved for the 7th.
[SIZE="6"]Those wishing to bring beer/alcoholic beverages: No glass bottles, and only 3.2 beer is allowed![/SIZE]

Also, as for grilling, I've never grilled with charcoal. At least, not enough to know how to do it properly. Also, if we're going to do this, we have to be very respectful to avoid any problems with the police/city officials. Technically, we get a permit to be using the site and are supposed to have it at all times if we reserve it, so any stupidity is absolutely not allowed.
