This has to happen when I'm out of town. I'm out the next two Fridays.

I saw your friend with the orange Speed Prot. with the turbo inside decals this morning.

Didn't have the flyer at home yesterday. Here are the details:
If you want to attend the show on Saturday, it's at Metcalf park, 704 E Ohio Ave. Registration from 7-10am.

For the cruise it just says to meet on Main street in Fountain. Make sure if you google (or whatever) directions that you are in Fountain, not main street in Widefield/Security, that's not south enough.

For more details call 719-447-8637

I'll be there tonight, in case anyone else shows up. If not, I'll have a milkshake and skidaddle out of there in time to come home and drink myself stupid(er).

I showed up, folks! Really, I was there. Here's my proof:

Image

Only other car there at the time. I silver 6S drove through later, but wasn't a member. So since I was all along and bored, I drove a little bit. Saw a black mica MS6 with a silver gas cover, but the light wouldn't let me turn left to chase him.

So I finally got bored out of my noggin and decided a rally drive sounded fun. So I went east of town and found this:

Image

That's the first dirt stretch of Tamlin road, which is a sand-packed-gravel surface, with a lot of washboard bumps, and some surprising turns. Five miles from start of the road to the finish. Hella fun until I had to dodge a pothole suddenly and ended up fishtailing and damn near losing it. Around the turns, I drifted intentionally a little, but that time, I ALMOST went into the ditch. Barely pulled it out. My tires suck for this lol. Around one turn, there was random crap on the road. Sod. Furniture. Fence posts. Made it interesting. Sporty.

My car had its teeth rattled, I broke the bayonet mount on my RD so it no longer stay son (I can fix that), and the car is filthy. Pretty sure she hates me right now. Even did some donuts in the dirt when i was done, just to piss her off more. We'll see what's fallen off tomorrow. Hee hee.

Image

THen, when I got home, I got my punishment. Friggin dog crapped all over the laundry room. Old fool can't hold it any more. Idiot. Thank God for rubber gloves.

Waste of money, though. I went to fill up at my normal King Soopers place on Stetson Hills, but the pumps were down. So I stopped at the Circle K on Woodmen, by the Dodge dealer and put in $15. Got me to a half tank (I was almost on E) and I figured I'd gas up later. So I cruise to Sonic and hang. No one shows, so I cruise the north end a little, run to that rally, scoot down hwy 24, over to powers, back home. All total, about 35 miles according to both my odo and Google Earth.

And I was down to a QUARTER TANK of gas. WTF? 4 gallons of fuel to go 30 miles? That's INSANE. I drove hard at times, but I ALWAYS drive hard and I average 17-19 mpg around town. WTF? Won't buy gas there again....ever.
