Autocross is relatively safe and inexpensive as motorsports go. Probably no more equipment wear than daily driving for some of us leadfoots. If you want to learn the limits of your car is a controlled environment, come out and give it a try sometime. It's a huge rush driving trying to drive at 10/10th- I can usually tell a good run by how much my hands are shaking when I get back to grid.

I attend pretty much all the rmsolo events. Feel free to look me up before and during events, ask questions, get rides, whatever, I'm happy to help any way I can.
Silver 81 Scirocco- check the year end results before you scoff ;)

That's what I was thinking of when I heard it was costly. AutoX seems decently priced. Oh, the fun I would have if I had a job.

I was hoping to starrt autocrossing this summer, but I just cant get my MX-3 running right. Hopefully I can make it to some in the winter season. I have to say ever since I went to a couple and did some ride-alongs I've wanted to do it. It's a heck of a lot of fun for the money. Even if I cant participate I'd go and spectate if others here want to do that.

It looks like I will actually be in town for the event on the 17th at PPIR.

If anyone wants a ride just stop by and ask.

In car video from Nationals, don't laugh my tires were cold.... yeah that's it cold tires, no driver error at all

Unfortunately, I have to rescind my offer to let people co drive with me. I had a friend that needed a car to run this winter and he's going to be driving mine. I will give rides though :)
