I think it is a great idea, but you better make sure that we do not need a permit or tax license. We migh be okay if we call it a fund raiser for a non-profit. We would have to donate say like 10% of the proceed to a cause of our choice. It is a win win. We raise money for the club, as well as help someone else out.[/b]

This is what i was thinking. We may have to talk to the event coordinator people on selling our food. Making for ourselves shouldn't be a problem, but selling it may be a little problem.

I was thinking more along the lines of just bbq'ing "for ourselves" and having a little donation bucket. If people ask, we can say donations are accepted if they want a hot dog or something.[/b]

This is another way of getting around it, but then people spread the word of "free food" and cheap ricer car people get free food on CMZC without making the said donation.

Seriously if things go good we could easily make 300 bucks a show depending on how much food we bring / how much people donate for the raffle.

Easiest thing imo is that we all just chip in a few bucks and we as a club make lunch for the club. That way it saves everyone some money and we don't have to worry about free riding ricers or worry about a raffle. Just the easiest way imo... keep it in the club.
