Haha they could be part of your mph problems. Could be in need of plugs to.

Yea that's pretty bad. Hell I get 13-14mpg in the city in my Mustang and I've not been easy on the throttle at all. In a little 4 banger you should be getting better than 1-2mpg better than me lol.

I know. I probably need plugs. I would be more inclined to go but some if I could change them myself but I can't. I've also been trying to be less of a lead foot. But I still think there is something wrong with the car. I'm also pretty sure I hear a knock in first but I can't say for sure. And no way my parents are going to pay for diagnostics at a dealer after $1400 for tires and repairs after I hit the curb.

I can go if it's done by 11:00am or starts after 1:00pm. I have a work meeting at noon that day.

Learjet, instead of posting a new list everytime a members decides to join the mountain cruise, just update your 1st OP list.

GR-8 wrote:So I doubt I will be able to make this. My insurance that I have for myself (broadform) expires the 5th. I'm not sure how I'm gonna pay it and that means I can not drive the Bronco or Grey 8. The Blue 8 has separate/full coverage insurance but no tires. Hopefully I can get a loan from my dad for some tires but...... If I do I don't think I'll be taking the blue one on such a long mountain cruise. Yes it did fine on the cruise up 6th but I don't know how long and steep the grades are on the road we are taking. I don't want to risk overheating.

With that said I'm at a no show unless my dad will lend me some money for both tires and insurance till I can pay him back after the restaurant is open. With all that I need to buy it's looking like the radiator and alcohol/meth injection for the blue 8 won't happen till late April. :( Throw the tune in and I'm looking at sometime in May for it to be completely buttoned up. This shit stinks.

Don't worry about the grade, its not any kind of a mountain road. It just runs along the front range. I used to take it all the time on bike. Its fairly flat but has a couple of curves. Its decent scenery though. Having said that, I'm not for sure what kind of road you all are looking at going on.
If it was just 8's, I'd say lets take the bike route from 470 up 287 to pine, then down to woodland park through Deckers. That would be a fun run, although not for the weak hearted. Come to think about it, we could even take it with everyone, and just go slow. Now THOSE are some good mountain roads with breathtaking views. :)

I think he's worried about the grade because of overheating issues (?) And he also has bald tires on the rear of his blue 8.

And Jimmy, don't you have wheels for the gray 8? Couldn't you swap those onto your blue one?

And how about you mog1017? You going to come with us? :)

Yeah, thats what I mean. There's no worry about the grade. Its really flat. I'm just letting everyone know in case they haven't been on the road. :)

So what does everyone think about say a 2:30 departure? Just driving time of 2 hrs 15 minutes would put us at the Sonic by the AFA at 4:45, but add in some time for pictures and chillaxing along the way like we did last time and it would end up being a bit closer to about 6?
