So I'm thinking one of us needs to bring our charcoal BBQ or somehow aquire one and bring hotdogs and hamburgers (through our butcher hookup hopefully) and sell them free or at 1 dollar. It'll be busy all day long until we sell out but it also attracts a lot of people a lmost everyone at the car show to our space. What do you all think.

It'd be at all car shows this summer. Will generate a lot of traffic to us and we can have breaks whenever we want say we're restocking and whatnot.
But hold a raffle and instead of them paying us for food they buy raffle tickets :P So they see all our cars and we get more contacts and whatnot

Good idea! There should be no problem doing it. And I say fuck it, sell some food at a decent price and make some profit for the Club. I remember last year at NOPI buying bottles of water from some dude when NOPI wanted to rape you with the price of theirs.

I would charge pricing but with that you have to have certain permits and stuff... If we do it free and get donated meet or buy it at a discounted rate from ahem a butcher.. This could do very good for the club. Make lots of money in the raffle and be able to buy stuff for the club

I have a Sam's club card and will soon be switching to Costco. I can get dogs there.

Seems ok to me, although we'd definitely have to "sell" them for donations. I'd say doggies and water should be all we'd need. Keep it as simple as possible.

I agree with Tim.. if we get to much stuff going on it could become overwhelming... water and doggies sound good to me!

I think it is a great idea, but you better make sure that we do not need a permit or tax license. We migh be okay if we call it a fund raiser for a non-profit. We would have to donate say like 10% of the proceed to a cause of our choice. It is a win win. We raise money for the club, as well as help someone else out.

so you are saying raffle off free or discount meat to raise money for the club.

Josh I think its a great Idea,, but diffently make sure you contact these places that are holding the shows first and make sure its ok to do this.. It would suck to bring all this stuff to a show and then have the people running the show tell you you cant set it up and do it..

I was thinking more along the lines of just bbq'ing "for ourselves" and having a little donation bucket. If people ask, we can say donations are accepted if they want a hot dog or something.

The way I was thinking was to avoid permits and tax sell everything for free. BUT also be holding a raffle at the show in our own area and they just "donate" to that if they feel generous for the free food.
