Rice isn't a brand. Rice is the person and what's done to the car itself.

OK so would a body kit, tuner wheels, intake and exhaust make my car a ricer? Excuse my ignorance, I am no up to speed on all this.

Coffee car Muffler, to many stickers that have nothing to do to the car, the guy that thinks his little b20a intergra can smoke my speed 3 all stock with a coffee muffer and an intake. ( here are a some of my ricer things)

rice is
putting performance stickers (aem, greddy, tanabe, etc) on your car when your car is stock
cutting your springs to lower your car
adding a huge wing wing to your sedan
having chrome spinner wheel covers
a 4" muffler on a 1.2 lt engine...
and on and on...

bad styling for your car.....which is a matter of opinion... ;)

^^ OK hopefully I am OK then, I am just changing the appearance of my car but really it is just for looks. She's fast enough for my tastes and I know its all aesthetics.

My Beetle however might be considered a Ricer. She has an intake, exhaust, skirts and a rear bumper (the front air dam was lost and she just has the stock bumper now), wheels, springs, sways, corners, steering wheel, chopped shifter, momo knob, custom seat covers, steering wheel, custom painted dash, and mats but no mod stickers to speak of.

I gained maybe 10 to 15 horses from the intake and exhaust supposedly and she did handle real nice with the sways, springs and wheels! I never once pretended my car was fast though. 2.0 4 banger, yeah, I know better. And she did get 3rd in VW class in a tuner show, like 5 years ago. She also used to race SCCA STS and did pretty well. No races one but she was never lower than middle of the pack.
