I agree. We don't need to clutter the boards with more subforums. We can use the calendar to schedule current meets, not have 12 different subforums for every month.

Now that the problem has been identified...
Who has suggestions for a better format?

I would say that once meet dates/locations have been solidified, they get posted in the calendar, like we have been doing, and keep the post updated. I have no problems with a "Past Meets" subfolder, and moving the thread to that folder after the meet has occurred. By moving old threads, that will prevent the folders from getting cluttered with old info.
Realistically, it's up to the mods to make sure that these folders stay clean. We'll make sure old stuff gets moved to the correct subforum, and the "base" folders will only contain the most current meet info/suggestions.

This forum is small enough, two forums is fine. Current and upcoming events, and past events. Once its a month past the event, move it to the past events forum.
Colorado Springs and Denver are close enough that there is no need for two different forums. Cities like LA and Dallas are bigger than both and the land in between combined.

There are Springs and Denver sub-forums as this was specifically requested by many members. Those will stay.
