Ski/Board Trip

Postby bmwzoom » Tue Nov 11, 2008 9:14

I have no idea when I would set this up... most likely a Sunday, since that seems to be best for everyone usually. I don't care where either. We can figure out where/how to get discount tickets (i.e. King Soopers, Gold C books, buddy passes, etc.)

Anyone interested?

I was thinking of going this coming weekend. I'm up for Keystone/Breck/A-basin. From all the reports, Abasin is best right now of those three. Copper and Loveland are supposed to be good too. A club meet on the slopes would be cool. Maybe we can look into getting some CMZC knit caps?

would it be out of the question to get a condo or house to rent for saturday night for some poeple, then ski/board on sunday? That would be prime, I think
Pitching in, we could get something nice for VERY reasonable

Eric, I think this is a great idea. I also think it depends on how many people we can get to commit. We cant afford anyone backing out at the last minute and then the people that do come end up paying more than they figured into their budget. I suppose this will become more feasible once we see how many people are serious.

I've used http://www.gobrecknow.com to find last minute deals for Breckenridge. Maybe there's a site like this for other areas as well.

Id love to join you guys this weekend but I have scheduled training :(

I just got back from Keystone this weekend, not bad but pretty packed due to only one route open.

www.vrbo.com is really good too...they are private listings most of the time, and you can find last minute deals anywhere...

I may need to do this sometime this year. I can't commit though. I don't even know if I can still board, I have all the equipment and I haven't used it in 5 or 6 years.

I would love to, but I'm out of commission until January at the earliest. Darned shoulder surgery... but I would definitely be up for something in '09...

heck yeah I'm in!!!! And committed for the overnight deal...it's best IMO. I have a Gold C book, so when we decide on the where, I might be willing to share whatever I don't use.

Bree....let me know if you want some help planning this!

(I'm out for this weekend tho...)

I'm pretty sure I'm going to Breckenridge on Friday after I see Eric, then A-basin on Sunday. I hope the slopes are still decent with the warm weekend coming up.

Me too...it's all manmade stuff...no thanks. I'd rather wait for the fresh powder!

My buddy went up yesterday to Copper, says the snow was great for this time of year. If it sucks on Friday, then I won't go on Sunday.
