K-9 Meet

Okay... so most of us have dogs, right?
So here is my idea... we should meet up and let our dogs play at a dog park! How fun would that be?! There is one very close to C-470 & Jewell in Lakewood, and I know there is one at Chatfield.
I go pretty much every day to the one at C-470 & Jewell with my Golden Retriever -in fact that's where we are headed when I am done with this post. On average there are about 40-60 dogs when we go in the mid-afternoon.
Would anyone be interested in this? I think it could be tons of fun!

my pups are the size of a quarter and not dog friendly (long story). We don't frequent dog parks cuz the other dogs think they are snacks.

I would.... but..... Well the Germanshep-mix was abused before we got him and is scared of people. We've had him for over 3 years and he's still scared of me. And he really doesn't listen well and would probably run off.
The Doberman. Well he'd get very, very excited to see the new dogs and play. He would run around and away and make me chase him for fun. Not sure other owners would want a Big Dobe around their dog. Even if I leave him on the leash the whole time he'd be hyper and pulling me all over the place.

It is fenced... and there was a huge St. Bernard there yesterday who was crazy wild. You would be suprised about how energetic these dogs are. Thats kind of the point to go to a dog park, to let them roam and do whatever they want & get out all of their ENERGY! There was a Doberman a week ago or so there... plenty of Pitt Bulls, Boxers, mixed breeds, LOTS of retrievers and quite a few mini-pinchers that weigh about 3 pounds (not even exaggerating).
EDIT: Plus... there have been no dog fights that I have witnessed.

I would, but I don't have a dog anymore. Sounds like fun if you can get enough people interested!

Yup I'm in the same situation as Angie...I think it's a good idea, and I would go, but I don't have a dog anymore

I wish I could get one, but I'm not home enough to take care of one...anyway good luck getting people to go, sounds fun

Heck... people could just come even if they don't have a dog and enjoy other people's pups while I am there with my dog and Richs' lol. That way for those of you who are unsure whether or not to bring your dogs, you can get an idea of what happens there the first time so the second time you will be able to bring them (hopefully).

I have a small size female Husky. She's friendly as hell and likes being around other dogs. If she were to get viciously attacked well I don't care how big the dog or the breed, I'll break the other dogs leg.
