Colorado Mills in spring, the date is not set up.

MichaelB145 is setting up a big car meet at Colorado Mills next spring.
He has started a thread on the mountain rx-7 forum.

http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=706330

"I think I'm going to try and organize a meet with all of the car clubs! The parking lot at Colorado Mills is huge....Once a car comes in, we will direct them to their group. I want the Supra guys to come, the Stealth/3000GT club, RMevo club, AWD pirates (subarus), Mazda club, us, ect. It could end up being the biggest car meet ever in Colorado! The nice part is I know the club presidents of most of these. I would definately need some help getting the word out! What do you think!" Mike

While this sounds kinda cool, has anyone ever thought about doing something other than standing around in a parking lot jerking each other off and then see whose bags of Luck and Skill are full by driving up some mountain road? .

There are several karting tracks in town that are a blast. I've driven this one:

and it was an absolute blast. I know Bandemere has one too but I've only parked on top of it during the Mile High Nationals one year.

Tom, I think that would be sooo much fun, I have been to the Centennial track a few times, but I think that would be more fun if it was something just our group did. If we had that many people show up for something like that it would take FOREVER for someone to get their runs in... Set something up for our group and I would be in!

ahhh I was in it for the jerking off.... j/k....

Tom, I love you idea, I hear the place is a bit pricey, but perhaps we can get a group discount
if we get enough people to sign up. That would be a lot of fun to do as a group. Someone want
to do a bit of research into this?

Great idea on the Karting Tom! CMZC alone could do something like this. The Meets at Colorado Mills have always been cool, why not admire all types of other rides? Its not that often a Meet organized with multi-Clubs is done. I look forward to this! :26fdf3e6:

I'm all for checking out other cars, but it seems like this is the standard format for a group meet (even though I've only been to 1 (red rocks) and the dyno meet back in September).

If we did a karting thing, it would definitely be better to have a smaller group.

It's been since July of 2006 since I've been to that track, but if I remember right it was $35 for a session (15-20 minutes) and I got to run the full track (it goes counter clockwise looking at the picture on the website). There is some good elevation change at the track which made for some great driving. On the surface, it sounds expensive, but you will walk away going "WOW! That was AWESOME!"

That's the exact reason I've mentioned SCCA/NASA stuff, too.
