Yesterday was the first day I heard about it listening to KBPI. My car isn't even worth taking yet so I won't be going. Who knows if it'll even be ready for next weeks KBPI show.

Well thus far no one has even signed up for the KBPI Rock N Roll show in 2 weeks...so I doubt anyone is going to either of the shows...
On a side note, the Suicidal Lifestyles Motorcycle stunt team will be @ the Tuner Mayhem show and they are my neighbors. Pretty cool guys.

Well I'm 75% sure I'm not gonna make KBPI. Car may be finished Tues. but it still needs some messing with after that and that is schedueled work. Gotta contact that Dave guy about that.

I'm planning on showing at Street Tuner Mayhem.
Not sure about the following weekend for the KBPI show. I'm getting a late start on my turbo upgade and my Ride maybe down for a couple of weeks.

Oh well, just seems like the interest in the club for car shows has gone down the tube along time ago.. Back in the day when this club first started there were plenty of us that were into showing off what we got.. but not anymore.. pretty sad when we have 400 members on this site.. and some of the members diffently have show worthy cars and yet no one goes to car shows ever to show of their ride but also to support our club. Guess the Scions will win again with their club showing..

+1 on this. With my old Mazda club in AZ, we would show up at car shows like these (or bigger events, like HIN: Night Shift, Phoenix where we took best Car Club) and we would represent. Don't see that much going on here...

Lets just say, back in the day when this club was smaller and it was more of the regular memebers on here there was alot more participation in events like this. I no longer own a mazda, but when I did I made every effort to go to car shows. I by no means had an award winning car compaired to the other cars out there, but I had enough to show off and just have a good time and support our club.

More Pics.

Picture of the only other Mazda which was racing. Silver RX-7. Anyone on here?? Never did meet up with the driver.

Picture of Crystal and her Subie. Crystal owned a MS6 2 summers ago and regularly Rep the Club on the track. She had her Ride dialed in and was schooling the men. Last I checked she was into the third round.

Picture on my son and I. Got the Award for Best in Class Street Mazda. Wasn't much of a contest given I was the only Mazda. LOL

Funny you should mention that. They were a No-Show. I think there might have been one Scion and I don't think it received an award.
The biggest surprise for me was the respresentation of Volvos competing on the track. They rolled in 7-8 strong as a group to the gate this morning. They had a Red 80's?? station wagon doing 12's.
My how times of changed.

It's just too much of a 2 Fast 2 Furious scene for me.
