The 2011 event will run from September 12 to September 17 starting and finishing in Vail, Colorado. Admission is free for the “Concours d’Non Elegance” on the morning of Saturday, September 17.

The Colorado Grand® is an annual charity tour for 1960 and earlier sports and race cars of distinction. The event was founded in 1989 by Englewood automotive enthusiast Bob Sutherland. Every September at the peak of the fall color season approximately 85 vintage cars are driven in this relaxed, non-competitive event, covering 1,000 miles through the Rockies in five days.

Anyone interested in heading out to the Concours on Sept 17th. I stumbled upon this event years ago (coinciding with a Ferrari meet) in Vail, and it was pretty awesome.

Hmmm...perhaps. More details please.

Do you just gawk at old cars, or what? Will there be (good) food? Ladies?

It also coincides with Oktoberfest in Vail. Cool cars, expensive beer, and girlies in German outfits.

I'll keep an eye on this. I assume you'll be attending?

It may have potential... (if I have nothing better to do).

What day were you thinking of going? The 17th?
