16 Jun cruise

Postby speedjunkie » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:14

I have a buddy I used to work with that is moving to Las Vegas next month and he wanted to get a ride in the car before he left, but he wanted to go on a cruise with a bunch of other people if possible. So, who's up for a spirited drive through the mountains next Saturday? I'd like to hit some new roads but since I'm still burning oil I don't really want to travel too far either. I'd love to go to Denver and hit some roads up there, but I think that's a bit far for me.

So if someone knows some good roads down here near CS, I'd be more than happy to check them out. And it would be awesome if a lot of people could go.

I'll be in Park City, UT.

What is Garden of the Gods like to drive? Too busy/low speed limits?

Yup. Got a pulley from Brett and fixed it in 10 mins. I had the belt at the house.

Well my buddy called tonight and told me he forgot he has a softball tournament on Saturday. He said it might even be Sunday too but he's going to check tomorrow. If not on Sunday, I'd like to move it to Sunday. If it goes both days, I'd probably still be down with cruising on Saturday anyway, or maybe going to Speed Raceway for some go-karting.

I'd be in for go karting. I went a couple weeks ago and forgot how much fun it is! And being that it's only 5 minutes from my house, it's quite easy to do.
Going all the way down to the Springs to cruise is a bit far though. 90 miles round trip on top of whatever extra driving gets done cruising. And my car is no fun to drive anyways, haha.

Sigh.

I text my buddy today. He said it's only a one day tournament and it may not even happen...however, he said he has a baseball game on Sunday LOL.

So, I'm still planning on cruising Saturday whether he can make it or not. I'm still down for go-karting too. There's really only time for one thing though haha.

Well, I was just asked last night to assist on loading a moving pod on Saturday morning. Can't really turn him down since he helped me on some work. But we start at 0700 and expect to be done by noon.
