I have been out of the RX-8 scene for a over a year and a half now so they may have moved onto better parts. I sure hope they did because they were using a Chinese XS Power turbo ad knock off eBay wastegate and blow off valve. An eBay blow off valve is one thing, but a wastegate failure can cost you a motor.
And, unless they have addressed it, it is difficult to run the Esmeril kit with the AccessPORT due to the MAF sensor location.

Grant! You made it on here finally, lol. If you're back into looking to boost the 8 I'm sure Dave (chickenwafer) or Jimmy (GR-8) can provide some info since they have both had boosted 8s (using the same turbo kit lol).

My kit was actually slightly different. It used the same hard parts such as the manifold, downpipe, and charge piping, but I had a much larger upgraded turbo and intercooler, among a few other items.
They are actually two different kits. I wish Jimmy had bought my kit, that would have made the sale of it so much easier!
Oh, my bad. I thought he bought the kit from you.

Thanks EJ, I was looking at doing the swap, but no ones seems to know how to get it done with the gauges working. So I figure I will save a few bucks and boost it. I like the numbers on the Esmeril Racing kit and am very interested in getting it done by summer time. If anyone can get me some info on getting it done, I am all for it.

I would suggest looking at kits from http://www.turblown.net. I am a friend of Elliot's and he does amazing work. His kits are built to last and much high quality than Esmeril kits. Trust me, you want to do it once, so do it right! Swapping out parts and constantly tweaking stuff isn't fun when you want to go out there and boost, so keep it reliable.
I've installed a few turbo kits on 8's so I can be of help. I also tune them with the AccessPORT.

lol ok so I am sold. lol
Looks like I need to get a clutch and an ignition upgrade. Or is that included in the 400+HP kit? Maybe I am not reading that right.

No, it does not include clutch or ignition upgrades but it DOES include fuel system upgrades for over 400rwhp.
For ignition, you buy an expensive pre-made plug-play kit, or buy all the pieces on eBay for a significant discount and just assemble it yourself. If you go the eBay route, no wiring is required (uses the same plug-n-play connectors as the expensive kit), the only difference is you will need to fabricate your own bracket to hold the coils which is cheap and easy, and made your spark plug wires.
Making plug wires is also cheap and easy and MSD offers kits with plenty of plug length for cheap. IIRC I did my own LS2 coil kit for around $260 bucks and those coils are good for at least 800rwhp (more than the motor is).
As for a clutch I had an ACT Stage 3 and it was great, never slipped or anything. I also strongly recommend the Fidanza billet aluminum flywheel and if you're doing a clutch, I consider it a "while you're in there job" because with the transmission out it's just one 26mm nut to swap the flywheel. It can also be a good idea to do the pilot bearing and seal "while you're in there" (notice a theme?) if your motor has over 50,000 miles or so.

Well I would like to get to that 400HP ish range...if it's possible and build it right so I won't have to worry about it blowing up everyday. lol.
So far I am reading
Clutch
Flywheel
Turbo kit
Fuel upgrade
Accessport
Should I worry about the Apex seals?

You going to be doing all this this summer? Think you'll be able to run it at the track this year? We'll have to get some runs in with Heath.
