considering an 1990 RX-7

Postby broncofan14 » Fri May 13, 2011 9:14

I am considering purchasing my first rx-7 but before I buy it I want to get it looked at by a good mechanic, or at least someone who know a lot more about RX-7's then I do first. If anyone has any suggestions of someone, please let me know. I am located in Denver.

Thank you so much.

Unless they are specifically a rotary mechanic, stay away from them. There are a few good guys around here, especially for FCs. You could probably get Matt to look at it up there or Ian if he is in Denver at the time. Got any pics of the car and/or engine bay? If they are good pics you could probably tell a lot just from the pics.

ian thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. As a college I cant afford much besides the s5, but have wanted an rx-7 since I was about 14, so I figured start out cheap and fix it up. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

is this car on craigslist? If so could you post a link. Or what information do you already know. For those not in denver I'm sure they can give you some amount of advice.

I would imagine an S4 would be cheaper than an S5, would it not?

I have a buddy selling an S5 that will make you a deal on it, and there is always an S4 hanging around somewhere.

Feel free to call or text me at 720-212-5838, or just come on by today and hang out!

Cheers!
