I got the Side-Curtain Air Bag in on Thursday and just had time to install it today. Everything is pretty much done interior wise. I have everything back together. The scary part is still to come though. The battery is completely dead and I didn't take jumper cables with me. So I have not started it yet. I'm just hoping that everything is in good and all the sensors and control moduel I bought are good. I don't need the airbags deploying once power gets to them.

I'm still looking for the Control Arms/Links for the Driver-Side Rear. There are a total of 5. If this guy on RX-8 club decides to sell me his I'll be good to go in no time. Then get an alignment and take the car to Mazda to reset/re-configure the control moduel or whatever they have to do to get the prego light off.

And why are there fighter jets flying so low in Denver?

The car looks like it's coming along pretty well.
Pardon my ignorance, but what happened to this RX-8? I know I saw the sig of the user whose car you're talking about and how it said R.I.P., but what happened to the car?

As for the fighter jets, I would say a sporting event of some sort (I remember them at most of the Broncos games this year, probably 5 or 6 of our 8 home games). Or perhaps training exercises? I don't think it would have anything to do with the Congresswoman being shot, which is the only other thing I could think of. But I doubt it.

Well ya see what had happened was... I came out of a turn into gate 2 of Ft Carson, actually behaving, when the rear came out from behind it, I corrected on gravel and it came back around right before I side impacted the concrete abutment holding the guard rail on the over pass. The irritating part is a week prior I was talking to Chris at the club meet about how I needed new tires since the car sat in lockdown for deployment.

Jimmy sounds like you've done an awesome job gettiing it going. I figured you would have stripped it.

I'd probably have more money in my pocket if I had stripped it. Suspensions should be here this week and should be rolling soon after.

Just a little easter bump date. This project has been on the back burner for a little now while we've been getting the restaurant open and my funds have all disappeared. Since we are joining everyone for Easter lunch at my Grandpas, where the TiGrey 8 is stored, my brother and I have decided to take a little break from the restaurant and throw on the rear strut that's been sitting in my room the last 2 months. So hopefully today I can take her out for her first drive around the block. Sadly I will not be plating it anytime soon. I want to get tires and all the remaining parts for my Blue 8 and make sure that is all 100% fast and ready for a final tune sometime in June.

Edit- Did not get a chance to put the strut in. Started the car for the first time in 2 months and man was it flooded. Hope to have it going soon though. The motor sounds real healthy. Better than what my blue 8 ever sounded like even with a new re-manned motor.

Update

I just got the strut in this morning before work. After work I tied everything up now she's alive. Pics are below. (3mp cell pics in the dark) I think the rear-end is gone. I don't think it has oil in it and I drove it like 4 blocks. Heard a clunk and everything locked up 4 different times.
