oh. and floor it and crank it til it starts.
[/quote/] that only works in carbed cars and trucks you flooring it will not help pull the fuse and dry run it

Good point. Most mechanics don't know jack about rotaries. My dad's work on cars for 30 years and rebuilt numerous vehicles but he doesn't know much about rotaries.
ummm does your mechanic know what a rotary is?? lol[/b]

Actually, even in the owner's manual for this car, it says to floor it when you flood it. It's the procedure I followed when I flooded it...took about 15 minutes for the car to finally start.

Ha Ha well I am one of those "d-bags" from the dealership. Im a little curious what that kill switch you keep telling him to wire in is for exactly, because frankly i see absoutly no reason for one.... maybe you shouldn't be working on your own vehicle. Theres no reason to go all crazy pulling fuses and everything. And wouldn't you like to know why but i guess im just a "d-bag". But if the person who started this topic needs help. I'd be more than happy to help you out. shoot me a pm and we can work something out. O and that old beater its my buddies car at lakewood. Its probably best not to talk a whole bunch shit about everyone espically because this is a local forum.... Just a suggestion.
Yes you make a good point there but it just is. The old beater has potential to be something nice....trust me I've seen one go from junk like that....to something nice and that's yy brothers 72 olds.
One reason I stopped going over to Lakewood was cause after they changed owners there service and stuff sucked IMO. And calling an unspecified car an old beater is not talking a whole bucha shit FYI.

The main reason I work on my own vehicle is the total lack of quality rotary mechanics available. Sure you may be a good one but you're also one of the few and I'm gonna take a stab and say the only reason that is is because you own one right? Well we all gotta learn some how and I learn by doing so before you go telling me what to do with my car and insult my intelligence take a look around at the other mechanics and tell me how many you'd trust to work on your car simply for the fact it's a rotary.

Perhaps we should close this thread and move the deflooding procedures to the DIY section?
