Too bad Hinson (or at least one of their people) has had some legal issues.

And bad service in general...

Not to mention my buddy in NC waited for quite a while for some of their parts for his swap.

A friend of mine had an LS1 with nitrous FD built directly by Hinson and was pretty happy with it. Ran a low-mid 12 with no traction at all until 4th, and my friend can't drive either lol. He ended up selling it after only having it for a couple months because at the time he was making his money day trading and that was right about the time the stock market took a giant dump.

Well they were doing really well at first. They were even swapping them into Nissans.

I actually owned a 95 240sx with a 2002 LS1 motor in it before I got the FD.

Oh that's right, I forgot your 240 had the swap too. You're a Hinson posterboy LOL.

New Update!

Postby PXRdriFT » Sun Jan 17, 2010 9:14

Well, got around to working on it this weekend. Put the fenders and headlights back in. Routed some of the wiring, filled the tranny with fluid, and put the sway bar back on. I should have the PCM back from reflash on Tues or Weds. I have to patch a hole then hang the exhaust, finish the wiring (just got some connectors in the mail yesterday), and connect the radiator. With some effort, I should be at a point to start her up when the PCM comes in. Here's some pics of how she stands now.

Thanks! Well, looks like there will be a slight delay on getting this thing on the road. Last night I went to install the intake/maf and found that the maf was cracked. It basically was in two pieces. I'm sending it back to the seller and getting a replacement. They seemed pretty reluctant to provide me a new one so I don't anticipate that they will be very expedient on delivery. Oh well. As long as I get one.

Well I finally got the battery to charge up. Today's the day I find out if she starts. With any luck, I'll be driving her to the next meet!

It lives! Got her started last night. Need to do some final buttoning up and I can take it for a test drive.
