That sucks, glad you know the fix though, and it seems easy enough.

I'm going to swap out the check and cut valve on Friday because I have a good one and I think this is part of my problem. I'm also thinking about replacing my pump because this could be the problem and the one a have is still under warranty. The other possibility is the fuel pressure regulator so I may be swapping that out as well soon. Since the regulator is under the intake, I'd insulate the fuel lines at the same time.

I swapped out the check and cut valve with the one off my other car. I also replaced the fuel pump under warranty over the weekend.

I need to get a hold of a fuel pressure gauge that I can use to check and see if my pressure regulator is working properly.

Zico has one, I'm sure he'd be OK with you using it.

And I'm not sure if he talked to you but he said he probably can't get a trailer to haul the car, and he won't be back anytime soon.

I will definitely ask him about the gauge.

Sucks about the trailer though. I may just start a thread on here.

Talked to a guy in the Springs with a GSL-SE and he is having the same problem.

He said he talked to Pineapple Racing about this today. Basically he said that it is actually vapor lock and it happens on these cars when it is a combination if high altitude and very hot. They said the fuel is boiling at the fuel rail and recommended having a fan blow on it to cool it off. He also said that sometimes using higher octane fuel will help this problem.

So I now really plan to insulate the hoses and fuel rail.

You should install one of the bigassfans you were talking about across your fuel lines. That should help. It'd look good, too.

The fuel lines are now insulated. I had extra tape so I insulated the underside of the intake while I was at it. Thanks to Nash for help who isn't on the forum. I need to do some tuning of the motor still that I plan to get done tonight.

Total cost of everything above is around $1k.

After that I plan to start saving up paint, body, seals, and emblems. Total cost of about $3k. I'm hoping to have the car finished by next summer.

I picked up a working windshield washer reservoir sensor. Mine didn't work and the low washer fluid light stayed on all the time. I also picked up the screw I was missing for the ignition switch.

At some point I'd like to pick up a new windshield washer reservoir since the one I have has discolored.

So I was going through some boxes in the garage and I found out I was an RX-7 fan long before I knew what they were.

Cool! I loved those things. One time a couple years ago when I was home on leave, I was digging through my matchbox cars and found a yellow FB (or maybe SA, I don't remember), but it's missing it's doors haha. I brought it back to CO with me but I forgot what I did with it now haha.
