I haven't found a place yet. I would like to get it painted before the car show season starts next year.

I working on the car over the weekend. I replaced the rear tranny seal since it has been leaking for a few months. I also swapped out the drive shaft, since it was out, with a second that I had in the garage. I found that the one that was in the car has a U-joint that is about to fail. I need to drop it off at a drive line shop for a rebuild this week. The car drives on the highway really smooth now.

I also worked a little on the idle because the idle has been dropping when I stop at a light. I believe my problem is the throttle stop screw being out of alignment. I need to work on it a little more.

Now I just need to find the time to get them done. The FB model is extremely rare.

They are one of the best model companies. It was the only model ever made for the FB, it is a curbside kit (no engine) and RHD only. The monogram model is actually one of the most detailed SA models and it is LHD.

I swapped out the O2 sensor over the weekend. The car is running a little better. I still need to work on the tune. I think I'm going to have to go ahead and do the injectors.

I had the night off of work tonight and decided to browse through this whole thread. I remembered reading portions of it years ago and figured I would play catch-up.... Seriously Chris, kudos to you sir; I think the words "tenacity" and "perseverance" would most aptly apply.

The car looks great to say the least!

I was curious... since you put countless hours and thousands of dollars into it, were you able to insure it for a higher value through your insurance company? I know if I put that much time, effort and cash into reconditioning a vehicle like that I would be beyond pissed if someone hit it and, well, you see where I'm going with this...

Anymore plans for it? Other than just enjoying your work that is. :) I'm assuming you're planning on leaving the motor essentially stock?

Either way, beautiful car man!

I haven't been able to get the insurance changes. I need to get an appraisal.

This past week was the week from hell. It started on the 10th. I was running errands and I sat in the car and the seat broke. The metal frame of the seat actually cracked (never heard of this happening before). Monday I get ready to leave for work and the car won't start. Tuesday the car still won't start. Tuesday night I get the car started (flooded). Wednesday morning the wind is blowing hard and it knocked over the trash can right into the front bumper taking a big chunk of paint out of the corner. The chip is big enough that it will require at least a partial bumper repaint. Wednesday night I find out my debit card number was stolen and they got $400. Saturday morning I spent taking the seat apart down to the frame. Saturday afternoon I spent driving around trying to get hog rings for the seat upholstery. I got the pliers but never found the hog rings.

Finally Sunday things went right. My neighbor welded the seat frame. I than swapped the foam that was bad from a spare passenger seat I had. I reused the old hog rings and put the fabric back on and put the seat back together.

END OF RANT.

Damn that sucks. Especially the card number being stolen. That really irks me. I wish I could get ahold of thieves like that.
