Probably a dumb question, but can you force gas backwards through the injectors to clean them out?

Fancy. You should take up flow testing of injectors. Looks like you need: a multimeter (100.00 for a good one), a parts washer (200.00), 3 ultrasonic cleaners (about 700.00). a scope to read the electronic wave (300.00), about 12 large graduated cylinders (in case you get any injectors off of a 12 cylinder vehicle and want to test all at once)(275.00), and microsoft excel.

I replaced the cruse control switch and it works fine now. I also messed with the power windows, my non-working power windows were a loose connection and that was it.

Did you charge yourself $400 to fix it like a dealership would? LOL

I should tell the wife that my work cost me $400 and maybe I can use that to buy something else for the car, lol.

I sent off my spare set of injectors for cleaning and I should have them back Friday. The injectors that are currently in the car were cleaned but they started leaking really bad which I assume was caused by the rust in the tank. A few weeks ago I pulled the fuel filter that is just before the fuel pump to inspect it (would clog up with rust) and it was clean. The fuel tank sealer seems to be working well. I'm hoping that this fixes the leaky injector flooding problem.

The last two weeks I've been driving my truck because it is too much of a pain to get the car started in the mornings.

The injectors came in yesterday so I plan to get them installed this weekend.

I'm going to work on the injectors this afternoon. Hopefully I can get it done quick since I've done it way too many times already.

The injectors are swapped. I still need to figure out the hot start problem.

Re: My New Toy

Well it looks like the car will need a motor rebuild. I have a bad coolant seal and the car burns coolant on startup. There is no coolant in the oil and once the car warms up it doesn't smoke.

Do you think I can get away with just pulling the motor apart and replacing the seals, etc or do I need to give it a complete rebuild?

Have you pressure tested the coolant system to be sure? I have a kit if you need to borrow it. My garage is a mess but it should be on the bottom shelf of the workbench, in a black case if I remember right. Just get ahold of Zico...if you can. lol
