hey everyone,

I just got my new AEM CAI and a new lowering kit for my rx8.
I live in laramie, and there is no one that can istall the lowering kit for me. and about the CAI i went to two shops and they told me it will take them about 4 HOURS :eek: to istall the CAI !!!!
the problem is i am a student and i dont have space to work on my car. any one knows a shop near laramie or even if its far but can do me these two parts ?

There was a CMZC install weekend two weeks ago, maybe another one coming up? Four hours to install a CAI seems unconscionable, if that's what you were quoted.

If you want to drive down to Frederick, CO I'll give you a hand with the intake. Might not be able to do it for a few weeks, but I'm happy to help.

If you have tools, I would think you could do the CAI on the side of the road or in a parking lot haha.

What does the lowering kit entail? Is it just springs or is it coilovers?

The AEM intake requires removing the front bumper, FYI. But if you know the RX8 (like I do) you can get the front bumper off in 15 minutes.

The lowering springs take a little longer, I think last time I did mine it took me an hour and a half by myself with a spring compressor of course.

If you're willing to drive to Loveland I can give you a hand with the intake. The springs is a little more work.
