Transmission/vacuum lines question

Okay so while my motor is being rebuilt I was taking a look at why my shifter was all sorts of messed up. The previous owner decided to remove the springs in the shaft part of the tranny. He also broke the ear-lobe part where it screws in at the bottom left side (if you're up front on the shaft of the tranny and looking forward) how does one replace that?

Also the actual shifter is missing a seal. I'm not sure what exactly it would be called without showing you or having a photo. I plan making it a short shifter with it but I still need that seal - where do you get it?

With the vacuum lines, when my buddy pat in the springs pulled he motor there were a bunch of lines disconnected. I'm hoping to get rid of most of them but if I snap a photo sunday would anyone know where they're coming from or should have been plugged into ?

Thanks!

the vacuum lines that were not connected go to nothing. a lot of those lines are for emissions controls. the one brown solenoid that is still there is for the VDI actuator. I'll bring the fsm and run you through it tonight

as for the spring. its the return spring for the shifter, i think thats the one your talking about. if thats gone you might have to drop the trans just to get to it.
