finally done with oil catch can lines I think, just waiting on the fire-sleeve to show up for it.

Do you have any of that line left? Where did you get it? What size is it? I want to make a hardline to extend from the one that came with the kit over to the can instead of using the vacuum line that came with it.

Should have just called or texted me man! Yeah I got like 8ish feet left and your flare tool. Its -10 hardline.

Well I still don't have the car yet so it's no big deal lol. And I forgot you had the flare tool lol. I'll hit you up when I get back with it next month. Although I'm not sure my current hardline is -10, might be closer to -8, I'll see next month. Thanks!

I did a thing. UIM stays a lot cooler.

Have you tested it with an IR thermometer or anything? I'm sure it helps, anything would, I'm just curious how much it helps. I've been planning on doing a thing of the same order.

my highly scientific methods were as follows:

Before: Too hot to touch.
After: I can touch the uim or lim and it doesn't hurt.

LMAO, that actually says a lot. I do believe I have an IR thermometer. However, how easy is it to take off the heat shield?

It's super easy to take off. These 3 bolts then it comes right out.

We can do this. And I think I'll copy yours almost exactly lol.

On yours I would extend it lower behind the turbo to shield off more of the turbo manifold. I was limited by the small size of the cheap piece of metal from lowes. Ill call it good enough for like 14 bucks and DEI cool tape I had already.

I'll try to cover as much as possible, but I'd also like to run the hard line for the wastegates behind it, so that will be different too. I had planned on making it as low as possible though.

I too would like to do something along these lines.

Are you using existing LIM bolt-holes to attach that?

It looks like it bolts up where the EGR valve or whatever used to be. I'm gonna have to modify mine a bit lol. I forgot about that, I don't have those bolt holes.
