Hey guys its me Bobby (Morris's son), okay so some of you know me already and that my dad and I recently rebuilt cory's AKA brother's RX7 (which is now mine hehe) but ummm now im having issues with it 1 is tune and 2nd is a start up/cranking problem. We've started it yesterday it was perfectly fine until today. Its like every time it cranks its cranks slower, slower, and ever more slower. So we checked the battery to see if its running low, nope fully charged. So we took out the spark plugs and replace it with other cleaner and better NGK spark plugs, plugged it back in same isssue. So we took the spark plugs out and cranked it for about 2-5 secs so its "clears" (idk but my dad so lol) so got that cleared and plugged it back in, cranked again, still same issue. So my dad told me it might be some wires that are messed up but still not sure why it went like this but was perfectly normal yesterday. So here's a video I made:

what's the voltage drop for the b+ cable and the ground side of the starter? Does the battery pass a load test? how did you test the battery? what was the open circuit voltage? what was the cranking voltage? did the voltage drop as it was cranked or was it stable for the interm? do you have the tools to perform a starter draw test? do you have any auxillary wiring? any stupid stereo wiring?

I don't work tomorrow if you guys are still having trouble give me a call you have my card I'll stop by and see what we can figure out. All the steps mentioned above are good starting points, just hope it is not like mine where the connection at the key is warn and bad so had to go to a push button starter setup with the key just controlling if the car is on or off.

I'f it turns out to not be the battery than take a look at the battery cables. Make sure the conections are clean and the cables themselves are good.

Okay everything is good now, we towed the car with my dad's and my dad just pushed started it and bam! started right away, and it doesnt slow down everytime I crank it, but still need a tune to start it right away. Still have antifreeze leaking, so hopefully either replace the flange or replace the whole the thing.
Looks like my dad and I are heading down to Texas to get the FD tuned. Probably going around the 9th-11th. The engine seems to be broken down already, it was flooded before but as soon as we did the de-flooded method and put new spark plugs in them it started in a snap. Still having the water neck leak problem and the "Add Coolant" sensor is still buzzing. Looking into getting a wideband. (I dont know what that is but other 7s owners recommend it)

The wideband reads air/fuel ratio. If you're taking it to a dyno to tune, they probably have a wideband already that they'll put in the exhaust so you wouldn't need to buy one. You could still use it for monitoring while driving though. But if you want to do any street tuning you'd definitely need one.
