RX-7 Car issue I need help - I just got my battery (since auto zone gave me the wrong one months ago). Every time I hook up the battery it shocks us - Whether or not it's on the positive first and then negative and vise versa. What is causing this?

Wow. just realized I totally typed that in not so good helping. I'm sorry I was half there last night.

Pretty much what I finally replaced was the alternator thinking that would be it (thanks 2ndgenpat!), but yeah. I guess I'm going to have to find a cool day to actually get it looked at.

It's just so weird that it is doing this when it never had before. I'll update once the days get cooler and I can actually get a look at it (and/or someone down here)

So after about six months of my rx7 not running due to a electrical issue, we figured out its a dead/hard short. From the neg terminal to ground it reads 12V from the positive terminal to ground it's 0V. It's now a guessing game as to what is causing this short. Where would one look or do I just have to do all wires and test? Also I'm thinking it may be my headlights possibly part of the issue? When the car last ran before it kept draining the battery, the headlights stopped going up/down, only one went up or down. Suggestions ?#
