Hey everyone I'm currently in kansas, driving my turbo 2 back home, but on my road trip home I believe I blew my turbo because its very loud as far as exhaust and also my boost will not get higher than about 3-4psi, it was getting to about 9psi when I first picked it up, it is the sstock size turbo for my 89 Rx7 t2, but my question is, where is a good turbo rebuild shop in the Denver area since I live in Westminster, let me know thanks guys.

Just curious, do you know roughly how much a rebuild is?

I would guess you have a boost leak over a blown turbo. A blown turbo will usually have a very difficult time making any boost. Do you hear any hissing or wooshing noises? Either that or an exhaust leak as you mentioned you hear more exhaust. A pre-turbo exhaust leak will severely effect turbo spool time and limit boost, as if the wastegate is stuck open.

Oh ok, well ya I talked to some friends and they asked if I was smoking or anything like that, ans I have no smoke or anything as far as that goes. They said the same thing you just said, I will have to wait until tomorrow or so to figure it out, we are about two hours away from Denver. But I sure hope its just a bad exhaust leak, it sounds like a loud tracktor

I agree. Most turbo "failures" are catastrophic. I'd also bet it is a leak somewhere.

So today at work we got the car up on the lift, and the gasket that goes from manifold to turbo is blown, so I need to get a new gasket, any one who has a T2 have any advise to get the new gasket in as painlessly as possible? It seems I will need to go from under neath the car to get it in. But I may be wrong. Thanks for all your guys' help
