Request: Throttle Position Sensor Change

I have a 03 6s and the diagnostics say my throttle position sensor has/is bad. :( Has anyone changed one of these out? I haven't torn into it looking for the throttle body yet, but it is not very obvious from the top where it is located.

Also, apparently these lovely sensors have to be ordered directly from Mazda, so I am sure they aren't cheap! Anyone have experience with this that could give me some pointers?? Or if there is a technical service bulletin about it? Thanks!:)

Can you do just the sensor? I had to do the entire TB on the Saab.

I'm pretty sure the TPS is built into the Throttle body. You will more than likely need to swap the entire TB

just for future reference...the TB is the big silver metal sqaure bolted to the intake manifold...its easily located by following the big black stock rubber intake tube from the air box.

Throttle Body - AJ57-13-640C - $271.10
Gasket - AJ03-13-655 - $6.52

Sensor can't be bought separate from the TB. Let me know if you want to do this, I'll give you a hook up on prices.

Thanks for the help! ;)

I am deciding on my next steps, especially since the price is a bit steep.

Has anyone heard about a technical service bulletin for this?
