Would this work?

Postby GR-8 » Fri Aug 13, 2010 9:14

So I currently found out that the Aeroforce Interceptor gauge I have will not work to view the stand-alone inputs (Wideband and Oil Temp.) unless the OBD-II cable for it is plugged in. I have the gage set up so it powers on through the ignition not the OBD-II port itself. I'd like to plugge the AP in aswell seeing I'm having issues with the Interceptor reading certain parameters from the ecu.

If I made a split OBD-II cable as picutred below would that work or would I have issues with both devices trying to receive data at the same time?

^That should work. CAN BUS can stream as much data as you can read.

How about that. I searched every where for someone that made one. I was gonna resort to buying two connectors off ebay and splicing my own.

and that price is the the same as one of the cables on ebay. Thanks.

Been in touch with Aeroforce and they aren't very much help. All help is through forum support and they have no idea why the gauge shuts off my traction control and DSC. or why it won't read my fuel trims now. Everything on the gauge works for the speed3s and 6s but for the RX-8 it's retarded.

I only knew it existed because so many people with MS3s/MS6s have both a Dashhawk and an AP and want them both hooked up at once, so it's been brought up before over on MSF.org. And I didn't know the Aeroforce gauge would even work at all without plugging it into the ODB II port.
